Stress, Challenging Behaviors, and a Healthy Lifestyle
Challenging Behaviors are often due to a variety of stressors. Four of the best stress busters are adequate sleep, good nutrition, regular exercise, and the daily practice of mindfulness. We have developed or are in the process of developing skill-based, informative, and fun programs in these critical areas. In addition, we have programs in the area of leisure, dangerous drugs, and abuse prevention. These programs are meant to be done together with a support provider (e.g., parent, teacher, direct support staff) who offers guidance and encouragement.
